Our Installation Rules Paper 1 and Paper 2 programmes are designed to prepare learners for the national exam Installation Rules, which is required as part of the criteria by the Department of Labour to apply to become an installation electrician.

Installation Rules [Wiremans Licence]

One of the main requirements is for a student to pass a theoretical course called Installation Rules. This exam is given under the Department of Higher Education and Training. The installation exam comprises two papers which candidates must pass with a minimum of 50% each.

A wireman’s license is a registration at Department of Labour as a registered person. There are three types of registered person’s (wireman’s licences). You can register as a Single phase Tester (Blue Card), Installation Electrician (Yellow Card) or Master Installation Electrician (Red Card).
